Delete your account

How to delete your Nomi account and everything in it, with or without the app.

In the app

On iPhone or Android, open Settings → Account → Delete account & data and confirm. This permanently deletes, straight away:

• your account, and its link to Sign in with Apple or Google;
• your backup: the words you've learned and saved, your reviews, memory strength, streak, goal, level and settings;
• your profile: your name, your photo and whether you appear on leaderboards;
• your Daily Inkling and Kindred results, so you leave every leaderboard;
• your rewards: quills, satchels and curios;
• the profiles you blocked and reported, and any reports about you;
• your Pro status record on our server;
• everything Nomi holds on that phone.

If your phone can't reach Nomi at that moment, nothing is deleted and the app tells you, so you're never left with an account half gone. Try again when you're back online.

Without the app

If you signed in with Apple or Google, email support@nomiwords.com from that address with the subject "Delete my account". If you never signed in, include the account code shown in Settings → Account, since that's the only thing that identifies an anonymous account. We'll confirm it's you, delete everything listed above within 30 days, and reply when it's done.

What isn't deleted

• Your subscription. Deleting your account doesn't cancel Nomi Pro, because Apple or Google bills it. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
• Counts of how the app is used. These are kept for their standard period, no longer linked to you.
• A note that the deletion happened: when, whether every part was removed, and a one-way fingerprint of the account id that can't be turned back into it.
• Anything we must keep by law, such as purchase records for tax, for as long as the law requires.
